Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his promise to address the hardships faced by Ghanaians when voted President in the 2024 General Election.

In a post on social media, the former president stressed that it is important to go back to the days of price stability to deal with the increasing cost of living in the country.

John Dramani Mahama in his post assured that he knows what needs to be done and will implement several interventions when he is elected president to deal with the issue.

“I am clear in my mind what has to be done to halt the daily increase in the price of food and other essential commodities because of the economic mismanagement by the government of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.

“We must halt the hardship on people, and go back to the days of price stability,” John Dramani Mahama stressed in a post on Facebook.

He continued, “As stated in the Resetting Ghana Manifesto, a number of key interventions, which will reset the economy and prepare it for growth will be implemented.”

Among his proposed measures to tackle rising prices, John Dramani Mahama has promised that his next administration will scrap six draconian taxes, reset the unjust CAT system, apply the price stabilization and recovery levy on fuel, launch a special pension scheme, and roll out a $10 billion Big Push policy.
