Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt has cautioned President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to watch his back.
Kwesi Pratt, speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, found it ridiculous that, to him, all of a sudden the blame of the country’s economic mess has entirely been laid on Nana Addo.
His comment was in reaction to the criticisms regarding the remarks by former Trade Minister and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen, who is contesting the December presidential polls as an independent candidate and has been outlining his policies to move Ghana forward.
Critics of the New Patriotic Party and a section of the public have descended on him (Alan) asking why he failed to put those measures he promises to undertake to improve the lives of Ghanaians into fruition when he was Trade Minister in the government of Nana Akufo-Addo.
Responding to the criticisms, Kwesi Pratt, as if to say what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, asked the critics why they would come at Alan Kyerematen but fail to use same yardstick for other candidates, seemingly referring to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
To Kwesi Pratt, the way that the members of the New Patriotic Party are behaving as if Nana Addo is solely to blame for the woes of Ghanaians tells how they would treat him when he vacates the presidential seat.
“Nana Addo, stand well because if you are being treated this way while sitting on the throne, what will happen when you vacate it? You being the Commander-in-Chief of Ghana Armed Forces, is being treated this way, then you will be miserable when you leave government”, he cautioned.
